What the college says
You will be participating in a fast, exciting and challenging course which will lead you into employment within the catering industry both locally and nationally. Youll be taught by leading Industry professionals who will support your learning throughout to make you the best you can be. The course content focusses on the skills required to train and extend your knowledge in the principles of culinary practices. You will learn to prepare and cook meat, offal, fish sauces and pastry. Your practical skills will also stand you in good stead to showcase your talent in our award winning Bistro HU1 Riverside. Adult caterers from past years have participated in a number of local and National competitions with outstanding success.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
