What the college says
The Course will be delivered in our outstanding Hospitality & Catering department. With our recently refurbished fine dining restaurant you will work alongside the Food and Beverage lecturer to organise and develop our offer to the customers, this qualification will ensure that you gain the skills you need to deliver a great dining experience to any guests. You will learn essential skills in areas such as: food safety, handling payments, bookings and serving food and drinks. You will also learn about areas such as bar service and menu design.
What you need to get on
Four GCSEs at grade 3. Alternatively - Pass grade in Level 1 Hospitality
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
