What the college says
This course is suitable for those wanting to work in television, film or the theatre, either in performance or technical support. Units will include Individual Showcase, Preparation, Performance and Production and Acting Skills. There will be a series of practical assignments varying from informal small group presentations to larger public performances.
What you need to get on
Five GCSEs which include: Three GCSEs grade 9-3, anadditional two GCSEs grade 9-2 and a satisfactory school reference. Including English Language at grade 2 and maths at grade 2 as a minimum. Equivalent qualifications will be considered. You will be required to attend an audition.
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
