What the college says
Those who love to sing, dance and act. Students who enjoy performing and want to take their skills forward. You will work on key dance styles such as jazz and urban, develop your singing voice and build new acting skills. This course is a stepping stone to the Level 3 Musical Theatre programme.
What you need to get on
Four GCSEs at grade 3 or equivalent. For all performance based courses your offer will be based on academic grades and a practical audition. The structure of the audition differs depending on your area of study. You will be given plenty of notice of the audition requirements when you book a date and will be supported throughout by our team. Musical Theatre students will take part in workshops looking at Acting, Singing and Dancing skills.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
