What the college says

Those with an interest in acting who wish to build their skills and confidence in a professional environment with skilled practitioners. You will work alongside similarly motivated students to devise, rehearse and create work that can be shared with an audience. Most of the students who complete this course of study will move on to the Level 3 Acting programme.

What you need to get on

Four GCSEs at grade 3 or equivalent. For all performance based courses your offer will be based on academic grades and a practical audition. The structure of the audition differs depending on your area of study. You will be given plenty of notice of the audition requirements when you book a date and will be supported throughout by our team. Acting students will start in a group workshop and then may be asked to engage with a piece of text.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
