What the college says
The Level 2 Performing Arts Diploma is for students who wish to gain skills in various areas of performing arts and learn how to apply these creatively. The course has pathways for dance, drama and singing. You will have the opportunity to perform in several performances throughout the year. Your training will include accurate, up to date knowledge of the industry as all our lecturers have professional experience of the creative industries and are still actively involved in the business outside of the College.
What you need to get on
The entry qualifications for the Level 2 Performing Arts Diploma are four GCSEs at grades 1 or above (Old GCSE grade G or above) (or equivalent), When you attend your review a demonstration of ability in creative skills such as singing, acting, or dancing will be required.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
