Performing in front of a live audience requires skill, confidence, self-motivation and stamina. Our Level 2 Performing Arts course will equip you with the skills to develop as a rounded and versatile performer. On completion, you will be ready to move up to our Level 3 programmes, which will prepare you for a variety of progression opportunities, including university degrees, specialist dance and drama school training and stage careers in a range of settings, including touring theatre companies. There are many behind the scenes roles that you will explore and experience to provide you with the knowledge and confidence to work in this diverse industry. We have strong links with industry professionals who present masterclass workshops to provide a valuable insight into the performance and entertainment industries.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-3 including maths or English. You will need to successfully pass an audition.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
