Our talented team won an award at Zest Quest in 2019 and we have been finalists for two years running.Areas for study include developing your food preparation and cooking skills including meat and poultry, fish and shellfish, fruit and vegetables, bakery and patisserie work including hot and cold desserts and pasta products.

What you need to get on

Four GCSEs at grade D or above including maths and English; or,Four GSCEs at grade D or above, plus functional skills level 1 maths and English; or, A level 1 qualification in a relevant subject area, passed with a Merit or Distinction grade - plus maths and English GCSE grade D or above, or functional skills level 1 maths and English.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
