What the college says
The study programme will prepare you for a career as a chef in a professional kitchen and will make you highly employable. During this qualification you will work with local employers on structured work placement, within this offer there will be an opportunity for learners to attend a residential trip abroad and for some students to attend a work placement in the 5* Hilton Hotel Malta. You will learn by gradually building up a repertoire of skills and techniques, which you will continue to develop within lessons. You will then be able to apply these skills within our onsite restaurant. Theory lessons will provide you with a full understanding of the theory element of your course expanding your knowledge for assessments. Please Note: Work placement opportunities will be available.

3 GCSEs at Grade 9-1.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
A first step that builds towards Level 2.
