What the college says
This course is where you will gain skills and knowledge for working in a professional kitchen and restaurant. You will start to get first-hand experience of how to prepare and cook meat, poultry, fish and vegetables as well as sauces, soups and pastry dishes. Whilst working in the college restaurant you will practice food and beverage and customer service skills.
What you need to get on
Hospitality is a service industry so you need to show:----Record of Achievement showing excellent attendance and punctuality--Total commitment, enthusiasm and motivation--A personal interview--3 GCSE Gades C/D----To really set you out from the crowd you will need to develop the following:----Good communication skills with people of every age group, social and ethnic background--
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
