What the college says

The Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies is a practical, industry focused course that develops the technical skills and knowledge needed for skilled employment or an Apprenticeship. You will cover hot and cold water systems, sanitation, drainage, central heating, and pipework installation, while also learning health and safety, building services science, and workplace communication. In the workshop you will practise measuring, marking out, bending and jointing pipes, installing domestic plumbing systems, fitting sanitaryware, assembling heating circuits, and carrying out basic maintenance and fault finding. Assessment combines knowledge tests, observed practical tasks, and a synoptic project where you complete a full installation to specification. On completion, you can progress to the Level 3 Diploma, a Plumbing Apprenticeship, or entry level work as an improver or trainee plumber.
