Do you want to work with animals? Are you resilient enough to deal with often upsetting situations while caring for animals, in all types of weather? If so, this course could be for you. If you want to pursue a career in the animal industry, then this is an excellent place to start. You will work alongside industry experts weekly in the first-class facilities at Rand Farm Park. This Technical Certificate course will provide you with the underpinning skills and knowledge in animal care and give you the experience needed to further develop your understanding. Work experience is an important part of this course as it prepares you for employment within the industry. As part of your course, you will be required to do work experience at either the centre you are based at which may include some weekend work or you can seek your own placements. During this course, you’ll learn: Practical animal health Introduction to animal biology Animal care work placement Animal welfare Animal behaviour assessment and safe handling Feeding, accommodating and moving animals.
