Pre Supported Internships are a structured, work-based study programme for 16 to 24-year-olds with SEND, who have an education, health and care (EHC) plan. The core aim of a pre supported internship study programme is to support a young person to move onto a Supported Internship program, facilitated by the support of an expert job coach. The Pre Supported Internship will equip them with the skills they need to progress to a supported Internship, through learning in the workplace. Alongside their time within an internally based work placement, supported pre interns complete a personalised study programme delivered by the college, which includes the chance to study for relevant qualifications, if appropriate, and English and maths at an appropriate level. All of our study programmes will be either 4 or 5 days a week This is a study programme which includes English, maths and work experience in addition to your main programme
