Are you a Reaseheath student aged 16 – 24 with an Educational Health Care Plan? Would you like to gain the skills you need to progress into meaningful paid employment? Completing a supported internship could be the perfect opportunity for you! As of January 2024, Reaseheath College will be offering supported internships, which are endorsed by the Department of Education and have been designed to help learners who have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) gain experience in the workplace with some additional support, with a view to progress into paid employment after the internship. This provision is most suited to students who wish to spend most of their time within the workplace, learning ‘real’ skills, while also developing important qualities such as independence and confidence.

Typically, places are limited and subject to vocational profile and successful employer match. Priority is given to internally progressing students however we do liaise with local authorities where other suitable candidates may be identified.
