What the college says

Supported internships are aimed specifically at students with Education, Health and Care plans up to the age of 24 who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities. If you’re motivated about work and want to progress to paid employment, this course is for you. This is a one-year programme offered to suitable existing students who are capable of gaining Entry 3 or level 1 qualifications. It’s designed to help you develop work skills in customer service. You’ll have the opportunity to work in placements both internally and externally. You’ll get three days teaching until your work placement starts. Once it starts, you’ll get one day of study and two days at your work placement, until eventually doing three full days’ work placement with a job coach to support both you and the employer.
