The Edexcel Government & Politics AS level course examines the roles people play in politics and how the UK government functions. Students are given insight into how they can become involved in politics and what citizens can do to bring about change. Throughout the course, students are encouraged to engage with contemporary politics and current political debates. They will gain a thorough knowledge of democracy and participation, the rights and responsibilities of the individual, ideologies, political theories and traditions. The A2 course focuses on contemporary US government and politics.
