Politics is the study of the political system of the UK and a comparison to the USA. In the course we examine the nature and processes of our democracy and the inter-relationship between the various institutions of our democratic system. The course also draws on current political debates and questions the ideologies and theories behind traditional party politics in the UK and USA and compares the two.

What you need to get on

5 GCSEs or equivalent at 5+, including 4+ in English and Maths, and 6+ in either History, Geography or Religious Studies

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
