This Level 2 course is ideal for people who have little experience of working with animals. It combines theoretical subjects with practical activities and projects. It develops practical animal handling skills and builds an understanding of the basic care of a wide range of animal species.
What you need to get on
4 GCSEs at Grade 9-3 or A*-D, to include English and Maths and a satisfactory references from most recent school, college or employer
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
