This course is for adult learners aged 19+ who want to gain technical IT skills, knowledge and a qualification to help them to progress to their next step, which might be new employment, a promotion or further learning. It is suitable for learners who need technical IT skills that are used in IT industry entry level positions such as IT Technician, 1st Line support and IT Helpdesk roles. ***Please note it is not an IT User course, it is an IT Practitioners course.***
What you need to get on
No prior qualifications or IT work experience is required for this course. However, a basic level of IT user skills are required, such as being able to work on a computer, log on to the internet and use standard office tools like Microsoft Word. All applicants are interviewed and asked to undertake an initial assessment to check their current English, maths and IT ability level.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
