Do you want a career in computer hardware, software, networking and cyber security? Networking and cybersecurity are fast growing sectors in the world of IT. This course is for you if you want a career or an apprenticeship in the IT and telecoms sectors to learn, practise and develop skills for a variety of employment roles such as: cyber security technician, network manager, first and second line support technicians and infrastructure technicians.
What you need to get on
You need four GCSEs at Grade 3 or above (preferably including English and maths), or a Level 2 in an IT related qualification and above all, an interest in this specific area relating to technical skills and professional competence. All offers will be subject to a successful interview.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
