This introductory qualification forms part of foundation learning and is intended for learners who wish to explore their interest in the hospitality and catering sector. It will help them develop knowledge and skills towards independent living and learning and gain an insight about the industry, by encouraging them to learn, develop and practise basic catering and food safety skills and to develop relevant background knowledge required for employment and / or career progression in the hospitality sector.
