Sociology is the study of society. It involves examining how people interact in groups, how our social behaviour develops, and the ways people are organised into groups according to distinctions such as class, gender, and ethnicity. Studying Sociology at Sale Grammar School will help you develop an understanding of the changing dynamics of families and household structures and of the differing experiences in education of social groups. It will introduce you to patterns and theories underpinning criminal and deviant behaviour and lead to an appreciation of the changing significance of religion. What you need to get on

A minimum Attainment 8 score of 60. A grade 6 in GCSE English Language and Maths. A grade 6 in the subject you wish to study (or two grade 6s if you wish to study a science and took Combined Science at GCSE).
