What the college says

In year 12, students study UK politics, which includes how democracy works, political parties, voting systems and voter behaviours. Students will also study the workings of UK government, which includes how laws are made, the role of Parliament and the devolution of power to the different regions of the UK. In year 13, the focus of the course shifts to US politics where students are encouraged to compare similarities and differences to the UK system. The course also explore a number of different political philosophies such as socialism, conservatism and liberalism.

Grade 5 GCSE English language or English literature.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
