Government and Politics is the study of how the mechanics of government work and how competing ideas affect the decisions made in our interest. For example, we study the ideas of the main political parties as well as looking at the importance of parliament within the political system.

Overall Pathway requirements: 3 A levels - at least 44 from your best 8 GCSEs (and at least grade 5 in Mathematics and English Language or Literature) or BTEC and 1 A level - at least 34 points from your best 8 GCSES (and at least grade 5 in Mathematics and English Language or Literature) plus subject requirement: 5 in GCSE English Language or Literature
