What you need to get on

To access A level courses students will have mostly achieved grade 5s (or higher) across their GCSEs. You should have at least a grade 5 in GCSE English language and GCSE maths. A grade 5 is desirable in GCSE English literature or another essay based subject, for example, history. Overall strong essay writing skills based on performance in the humanities or social science based subjects that you have taken.
