Chemistry is the study of matter and energy and the interaction between them. Chemistry is everywhere in the world around you! It is the food you eat, the clothes you wear, the water you drink and many products that you use. Chemistry is often referred to as the ‘central science’ because it connects all other sciences.
What you need to get on
5 GCSE at grade 4+ & Chemistry GCSE grade 6+, or 6/6+ in Combined Science. Maths GCSE grade 6+ is also required.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
