A-level Chemistry is an exciting, challenging and ultimately rewarding course designed to develop students' scientific skills and knowledge. Practical chemistry is central to the way we deliver the core chemical concepts and is often where students learn to be most creative. Following on from GCSE Triple Science we develop your knowledge and understanding of concepts such as atomic structure, organic chemistry, energetics, kinetics, new and novel polymers, modern analytical techniques and catalysis.
What you need to get on
Grade 6 in GCSE or Grade 66 in GCSE Combined Science.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
