Chemistry at A Level opens many doors including going to university or directly into employment. A range of Science degrees offer opportunities in research. Additionally those students who have an ambition to study Medicine, Veterinary Science, Dentistry or Pharmacy would be strongly advised to study Chemistry at A Level.

What you need to get on

5 x grade 4 or above including English Language and Maths. Grade 5 or above in GCSE Maths. Grade 5/5 or above in Combined Science (Higher Tier) or grade 5 in Chemistry & Biology. If being studied alongside a second A Level Science, Grade 6/6 in Combined Science (Higher tier) or grade 6 in Biology and Chemistry. Core maths is strongly recommended to be taken alongside this subject, if Maths A level is not studied.
