The Active IQ Level 2 Technical Occupational Entry in Fitness Coaching (Certificate) is a nationally recognised qualification approved by IfATE, Ofqual and the DfE, and aligned with the CIMSPA professional standards. This qualification is a pre-requisite to become a Level 3 Personal trainer. This course is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and practical skills to work as a fitness coach in a gym or health club setting. You'll learn how to plan and deliver safe, effective exercise sessions, support clients in achieving their goals, and provide excellent customer service. The programme is delivered through a blend of Active IQ eLearning and B&FC tutor-led lectures and workshops, with practical assessments and real-world scenarios to prepare you for employment in the fitness industry.

What you need to get on

To be considered for this course, you must: Be aged 16 or overHave a Functional Skills qualification in Maths and English (or higher) Possess basic digital literacy skillsHave some experience of gym-based exercise (including free weights) Maintain a good level of personal fitnessAll applicants will be invited to an interview.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
