Enrol on our level 2 course and develop an in-depth understanding of the skills required for a career in the plumbing/heating or building services industries. You will be required to undertake more technical tasks than on the level 1 programme. Youll cover: - Health and safety - Communication in the building services industry - Plumbing processes - Scientific principles - Cold and hot water systems - Central heating - Sanitation and drainage - Electrical principles This programme also covers environmental awareness, customer care and lots more. You will learn through practical tasks and demonstrations as well as key theory lessons You will be continuously assessed through assignments, activity reports, a portfolio of your work and online exams This is a study programme which includes English, maths and work experience in addition to your main programme

What you need to get on

Four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, including English and maths at grade D/3 or above. GCSE Science at grade 3 would be advisable, but is not essential.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
