Year 2 plumbing is a fulltime programme designed to build on the skills learned in year 1.Studying this qualification will build on knowledge of the plumbing industry and you will install airing cupboards, bathrooms and heating systems using a variety of materials and tools. Along side the practical you will complete nine multiple choice exams.

What you need to get on

4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths and previous plumbing experience (eg completion of level 1 or year 1)

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
