What will I learn on this course? In Year 12 you will study the basic principles of physical chemistry, trends in Group 2 and Group 7 elements and some organic chemistry. In Year 13 students will extend their knowledge of physical, inorganic and organic chemistry.

What you need to get on

You need to have achieved a minimum of grade 7 in Double Science GCSE, including 7 7 grades in your Chemistry modules, or a minimum of grade 7 in Chemistry GCSE to be considered for this course. Owing to the extensive use of Mathematics and complex language in Chemistry we recommend grade 5 minimum in English Language GCSE and Mathematics GCSE although grade 6 or above is preferable.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
