The aim of the course is to encourage students to: Develop their interest in, and enthusiasm for, Chemistry including developing an interest in further study and careers in chemistry; Appreciate how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how science contributes to the success of the economy and society; Develop essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of chemistry and how these relate to each other.

What you need to get on

A minimum of five GCSEs at grades 4-9, including a minimum of grade 5 in English and maths and at least a grade 6 at GCSE in combined science or a grade 6 in chemistry and either biology or physics for triple scientists.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
