You will learn about Chemistry in a range of different contexts, the impacts it has on industry and many aspects of everyday life. A-Level Chemistry opens up opportunities in a range of careers such as Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Clinical Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Research and Medicine. Preferably taken alongside another science subject, this course is ideal if you enjoy and excel at maths and science.
What you need to get on
Five GCSEs at grade 5 or above including English Language. Grade 6 or above in GCSE Maths. Grade 6-6 or above in GCSE Combined Science. If you are studying Triple Science, you will need a minimum of grade 6 in Chemistry and grade 6 in either Biology or Physics.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
