We provide the AQA A-level Chemistry course (7405). Through this course we hope to enable you to extend your understanding of the world around us. Everyday items we take for granted such as washing powders, cosmetics and toiletries were developed with the help of chemists. The topics you will study will help you make the links between what you experience in life and how they have come to exist. Chemistry is an exciting, challenging subject with the potential for significant personal and financial rewards.

What you need to get on

6th Form entry: The overall 6th Form entry requirements are: a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4, including a grade 9-4 in English. Subject specific entry: Grade 6,6 in Combined Science or Grade 6 in Chemistry (triple – higher tier), Grade 5 in Maths.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
