Year 12 you will study topics within Physical, Inorganic and Organic Chemistry. Practical skills will be taught & assessed via 6 controlled practicals during the first year.The teaching programme covers the principles and scientific models upon which chemistry is based. Year 13 you will further develop the conceps and ideas encountered earlier. The topics are theoretical but a range of practial work will enable students to become practically competent. This competence will be assessed via a further 6 controlled practicals. Throughout the course care is taken to broaden not only the students' chemical knowledge but also to make them aware of the different areas in whcih their newly acquired knowledge and skills apply.

GCSE Grades 6+6 in Science, 5 in English language & 6 Maths
