In both years of study the subject content will be split into the traditional branches of physical, organic and inorganic chemistry and will expand on many topics you have covered at GCSE and then cover more complex chemistry which will prepare you for further study at university.

What you need to get on

Entry into the Sixth Form requires six passes at GCSE Level (Grades 9-5) including English and at least a Grade 4 in Maths. This course requires GCSE Grades 6 - 6 in Combined Science or GCSE Grades 6 and 6 in Chemistry and at least one other science. To do more than one science, a GCSE Grade 7 is required in at least one science. A GCSE Grade 6 in Maths is required.
