We have designed this course to support you with working in the Accounting sector. Successful completion of this course will provide skills and knowledge required for job roles working in bookkeeping, accounting or financial and business administration. You can check the suitability of this course for a preferred career path or route to employment by looking at various job profiles on the National Careers Service website�nationalcareers.service.gov.uk. The AAT Level 2 Pathway; Certificate in Bookkeeping is aimed at individuals who wish to further their studies of bookkeeping and gain a competence qualification at Level 2 of the National Framework from a point of some previous experience and successful completion of Bookkeeping Level 1. Candidates wishing to join this course need to have a basic understanding of manual double entry bookkeeping. You will need to be able to attend one of our centres in Bournemouth or Poole to sit the exam/exams. This course is a pre-requisite for anyone wanting to progress to the AAT Level 3 Certificate in Bookkeeping. There is an expectation that if you enrol on this course, you are willing to commit fully to the period of time involved in this course, the associated home study and the assessed work required, and intend to sit the examination if applicable. How you are assessed
Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
