What you need to get on
4 GCSES at Grade 3 including English or Maths OR a Level 1 pass in a related subject plus English or Maths and both English and Maths must be at least grade 2/Level 1 Functional Skills.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
