What the college says

This course is a perfect fit for students with ambitions of working in the construction industry as a Bench Joiner. Students will gain an understanding of the skills and knowledge required to enter the workplace as a Joiner or to progress to further learning and training in this area. A Bench Joiner has the skills and knowledge to make timber products such as doors, frames, and windows, and plays an important part of any construction team. Truro College has extremely realistic simulated working environments where students will learn and develop practical skills as well as use the latest, industry-standard professional tools and equipment. The lecturers are well equipped to advise and deliver students onto the career pathway they desire, with industry-expert level experience. To bolster progression, the College works with local employers who contribute to the knowledge and delivery of this training. Employers will provide demonstrations and talks on the industry and where possible work placements will also be provided.
