Politics dominates our lives. From decisions about whether we go to war to decisions about university fees. Politicians make choices that affect us as individuals and as a society. This course enables students to understand how and why these decisions are made and what role different people play in that process. The exciting course encourages debate and discussion, enabling students to develop the skills needed to express their opinions, whilst considering the views of others. Our students learn so much about day to day events that are affecting their lives and leave the course with a newfound appreciation of the issues that they can influence after finding their political voice. As part of the course the students will have the opportunity to participate in a visit to London which incorporates, amongst other exciting experiences, visiting: The Houses of Parliament The Supreme Court A multinational NGO Students with A Level politics are highly considered by top universities due to their ability to analyse and evaluate evidence, to shape an evidenced argument and to consider a range of views.

What you need to get on

To study A Level courses you'll need:�5 GCSEs at 9-5 plus Grade 5 in all subjects you wish to study at A Level.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
