This course is suitable for students with an interest in current affairs, debate and how political systems work. It is a strong option for students considering law, journalism, public service, policy or social science routes.

What you need to get on

Students must meet the general BSG Sixth Form entry requirement of six GCSEs at grade 6 or above, with at least grade 4 in GCSE English Language and Mathematics. Subject-specific requirement: no prior study of Politics is required, but students should have a genuine interest in current affairs and be prepared to follow news, debate and political discussion. BSG recommends Grade 6 in History OR at least grade 6 in English.
