What the college says

Textile design involves creation, selection and manipulation across a variety of practices. Contemporary practice is often a hybrid activity that brings together different features of textile disciplines, using combinations of different disciplines freely and often embracing both traditional and contemporary technologies. The coursework and examinations require the production of a substantial amount of practical work. Students are encouraged to carry out independent research and to visit galleries and exhibitions in order to experience historical and contemporary design at first hand.
