What you need to get on
To access this course you are required to: English and Maths grade 3 or equivalent or diagnostic to demonstrate skills at this level. You will also be required to: Attend an interview to determine your interest, commitment and suitability for the course Provide a letter from a school of your choice confirming that you have secured a placement of at least one day per week (or two half days) for the duration of the course Have valid and current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance
How you are assessed
Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
