For students aged over 18 who would like to be a Teaching Assistant in a school. You will achieve a teaching assistant qualification required to gain employment in a primary or secondary school.
What you need to get on
Students should have a voluntary placement (for at least two days a week or 12 hours a week) arranged in a school. You will require competent IT skills for the e-portfolio. Conditional Offer: Subject to exam results, references, suitability to work within the childcare/education sector
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
