What the college says
This course is aimed at people interested in a career in the hospitality and catering sector who intend but are not yet ready to access level 1 qualifications. In essence this qualification is aimed at learners who are from a background that have needed additional support for their studies. This includes those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities who wish to work in the hospitality and catering sector but need a grounding in the subject and an opportunity to develop more general workplace skills usually over a one year period before applying for work.
What you need to get on
Good prior commitments and attendance at school or college and a keenness to study and achieve.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
A supported starting point if exams have not gone well yet.
