What the college says
This course provides a specific and practical introduction to hospitality and catering. You will be involved in running a community café based at Hinton Community Centre, preparing and serving lunches to members of the public and catering for a number of other external events. There will be the opportunity to gain additional qualifications in food hygiene and you will develop skills in retail, marketing and customer care. You will also be involved in planning, hosting and catering for a charity event during the year. There is the opportunity to be involved in a wider range of activities, such as a variety of trips and visits, fundraising activities and opportunities to socialise and take part in games and sports.
