In its most simple terms Sociology is the study of people in Society. Sociologists tend to investigate: A wide variety of social groups and their culture – from conformists to criminals ; How group membership shapes our identity and how we shape the behaviour of others, and whether or not we live in an ordered society (e.g. are there patterns of shared and predictable behaviour?)
