Sociology is the study of human society, how it works, how it has developed and why it is structured the way it is. It deals with important concepts like crime, 'moral panic', class, religion, gender, ethnicity and mental health and globalisation. Studying Sociology raises the question of what it means to be human in the modern world. Why do we rate things like money which possess no intrinsic value? Why do we have the agendas we hold?
