The subject explores society and its make-up and provides explanations for the ways in which groups of people in society interact and exist. Sociology is the study of society and provides you with an insight into structral and individual patterns of human communication. The course will cover 3 key areas of social life as well as considering how sociologists conduct research. The key areas of study will be Education, Family and Households and Crime and Deviance.
What you need to get on
5 GCSE @ Grade 5+ including and English and Maths, including GCSE Grade 6+ in a Humanities subject and English Grade 6+.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
